Character Canon: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Link to History: Up to the beginning of Act 2
Canon Point: After Here lies the Abyss
Canon Iteration: Canon alternate (Dragon age takes on different world states)
Canon Iteration Explanation: World states vary between different characters. For now we'll just stick with Inquisition. Lavellan had gone to Redcliffe to make an alliance with the Mages and was sent into a horrible alternate future. He then went to Adamant fortress to stop the massive demon army that Corypheus would gain. He ultimately fell into the Fade with his companions, Garrett Hawke, and Warden Stroud. When they were about to escape, Stroud sacrificed himself so both Hawke and Lavellan could get back to Adamant and close the rift.
Skills: Crafting, herb picking, making potions, jumping from the highest point in Skyhold and living. Surprisingly good with a sword.
Canon Abilities: Lavellan is a mage of no small talents. His specialties rely in Lightning magic and his Knight Enchanter Specialization. While he's dipped into the other elements of Ice and fire they aren't as strong as him calling down a storm or swinging an enchanted blade of pure magical force. He's capable of casting barriers and protecting people and with his skills as a Knight enchanter they're even more potent.
Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: Inquisitor's role will manifest as an aura like the one the spirit gives off that saved him, mixed with the green energy of the fade. In times of battle or stress his facial tattoos will also glow with the same light of the spirit, burning bright. When he is not putting on his "herald"/"Inquisitor" persona the aura will be diminished as a faint glow around him.
Role Reasoning: From the word go, Sen has had duty thrust upon him. From being the First of his clan to have one day taken mantle as Keeper, to becoming the Inquisitor and Herald who could seal Fade rifts it's made him a legend amongst the people. He strives to do what is right and protect as many people as he can. Knowing the the fate of the world depends on him or else it be ripped a sunder in the dark future he saw, makes him strive to end Corypheus threat. Mostly the Legend title will be another thing Lavellan will have to work through, potentially even coming to terms with things and maybe he doesn’t have to feel he needs to be the sole saviour.
Tell me, What guides you?" "My Conscience." This a telling question for one to really understand Sen. Sen is a young man who follows his own perception of right and wrong. He's willing to get things done but only if it seems completely moral to him. He doesn't kill unless in matters of self defense or the person dying really should be axed off. He's more of a talker than he is a fighter. If he could he would rather try and solve disputes with words rather than blades. He's ruled by compassion. When first awakening to his jailor, Cassandra, all he had to say was how horrid it was for all those people to die. As life threatening as his current situation had been, Sen's mind instantly went to the thousands of lives lost in the explosion at the conclave. Cole gives us some insight though to what the Inquisitor does feel about this situation "The weight of all on you, the hopes you carry, the fears you fight. You are theirs." He has come to understand that he may actually be the only one to stop Corypheus and that everyone looks to him as their one and only hope. While he is willing to act the part it definitely troubles him. He doesn't believe himself some saviour chosen by the Maker. Pragmatism is not his forte. Since his choices are ruled by his heart he doesn't tend to make the "Smart option" often. A choice between saving the Chargers that he came to know and become friends with to a faceless Alliance with the Qun? He chose the Chargers. He can make relatively smart choices but when it comes to death of friends for an entire cause he'd often chose his friends. Sen in public always shows the face of a leader. He remains strong, he's confident, and he inspires. Being a beacon to all of the hopes of both Orlais and Freleden he has to be. He's the only one able to seal the breaches and stop Corypheus. He has to be strong, he has to be an icon to the people. Not even in front of his enemies does he lose this face. He is in control and he will not let his foes believe for a second that he has any weakness. But, in private and with his closest friends he expresses his doubts and fears. He's feels he's not quite cut out for the job and that if everything he does will not be enough. Even with Haven despite managing to Stop the Red Templars from slaughtering everyone the guilt of not saving everyone weighs on him. He's a man who is in constant doubt over his own decisions, if he's making the right choices. When entire nations were raising him up as an idol, the pressure of it all to live up as this perfect icon makes him more uncertain. Sen would probably fit the elven stereotype of being too sorrowful. The amount of history lost to the elven people, the treatment of those who do not fit the “social norm”, it leaves him feeling melancholic. His heart bleeds for every death and every loss that he experiences in Inquisition. When his friends or loved ones are troubled, so is he and he always tries his best to solve the problem. On top of the world being at stake it’s enough to make anyone sad. Though is he all doom and gloom and mopey all the time? No. With friends and even with strangers he can crack jokes and be fairly jovial. He's friendly and downright cheerful when his mind's not on the burdens he has. A night of wicked grace and Sen throws his cares away, joking and laughing with all the others. Speaking of Haven, Sen's willing to put his life on the line for thousands of unnamed others. He stayed behind to allow as many of the Inquisition's followers and refugees to escape when he believed he would certainly die in the act. He is the type of young man that holds the resolve to do what is necessary despite the risks to his own life if it means saving others. Sen feels that he is too young to be leading the Inquisition. He always seeks out his elders like Solas and Vivienne and seeks their council. He listens to all points of view completely before he makes a decision on anything. If anything, he's more than willing to learn from anyone just to be sure he CAN do a good job at what he is doing. In the end, Sen is a person does believe in doing what is right for all acting the part of the hero the world needs but quietly suffering for it all the same.

"Tell me, What guides you?"
"My Conscience."
This a telling question for one to really understand Senren. Senren is a young man who follows his own perception of right and wrong, what he believes is good and right. He's willing to get things done but only if it seems completely moral to him. He doesn't kill unless in matters of self defense or the person dying really should be axed off.
He's more of a talker than he is a fighter. If he could he would rather try and solve disputes with words rather than blades. He even tried once to get Corypheus to just stop all the fighting and speak with him during the raid on Haven....didn't turn out well.
He's ruled by compassion. When first awakening to his jailor, Cassandra, all he had to say was how horrid it was for all those people to die. As life threatening as his current situation had been, Senren's mind instantly went to the thousands of lives lost in the explosion at the conclave.
Being Dalish, Senren does not believe in the maker, but in Elven gods. This clashes a lot with him since he's been named the Herald of Andraste. As much as he understands that people need a symbol of hope, he doesn't quite believe that he's chosen. He's very unsure of himself in this aspect, he just see's himself as a person able to do something not that fate preordained it.
He's the only one able to seal the breaches and stop Corphyeus. He has to be strong, he has to be an icon to the people. But, in private and with his closest friends he expresses his doubts and fears. He's feels he's not quite cut out for the job and that if everything he does will not be enough. Even with Haven despite managing to Stop the Red Templars from slaughtering everyone the guilt of not saving everyone weighs on him.
Cole gives us some insight though to what the Inquisitor does feel about this situation "The weight of all on you, the hopes you carry, the fears you fight. You are theirs." He has come to understand that he may actually be the only one to stop Corpheyus and that everyone looks to him as their one and only hope. While he is willing to act the part it definitely troubles him. He doesn't believe himself some saviour chosen by the Maker or Andraste and is proven quite right. But, when you're a Dalish elf you being held to the standard to a human religion that's been nothing but trouble for your people? He's definitely not comfortable with it.
Sen also realizes that, yes, he is probably way too young to be even leading this Inquisition. Which is why he always seeks out his elders like Solas and Vivienne and seeks their council. He's willing to listen to all points of view completely before he makes a decision on anything. If anything, he's more than willing to learn from anyone just to be sure he CAN do a good job at what he is doing.
However, by late game he's definitely thrown into a state of questioning EVERYTHING. Upon exploring the temple of Mythal and learning that the elven religion might not be everything that he was taught it was? His own faith is left shaken and he is left in doubt. He questions the things he believes and he does wonder if maybe some of what he believed to be true.
Despite being a Dalish Elf, Senren is not the common dalish stereotype. He doesn't believe that the Dalish are superior to city elves, or that they are the only ones who have all the facts about the lost elven history. Yes, he definitely is sad that the elves as a people have lost so much and have so little of their history to remember. But, it's not all consuming. He knows there is a bigger picture, he knows there are people outside of the Dalish who are suffering. He is the kind of person who wants to help all people despite race or class.
In the end, Senren is a person does believe in doing what is right for all acting the part of the hero the world needs but quietly suffering for it all the same.
Isn't about a greater message we have an enemy and we have to stand together we'll do what is right. the inquisition stands for us all
